Our Association & Events

Whilst a few of the 78th have attended RAFHAAA Triennials and other interim gatherings for many years, it is only in the last few years that more have appeared at these events. Consequent to this we have recently formed the Entry Association and in June 2001 had our first reunion followed by our Window Dedication at St Georges Church, Halton Camp. Forty-nine members attended and with their wives and partners, the total present was eighty-eight.

Forthcoming Events

Such was the success of the above gathering, it was decided that a venue for Summer 2002 should be arranged. Dave Kiddell (unofficial Billeting Officer) has set up our accommodation at The Holiday Inn, Cambridge for the weekend 22nd and 23rd June with a visit to the Imperial War Museum, Duxford on the Sunday. Plans are in place for our 50th Anniversary in September 2004, hopefully to be held at R.A.F. Cosford Museum. Whilst still in the planning stage, information will be forthcoming when Nobby Norton gives us more details.
